You've exhausted all the possible gear buying opportunities related to climbing (which you don't even do), so now you are switching to a new sport (which you won't do) just so you have the 'need' to buy some more new gear?

Besides, any old skis will work for being attached to the bottom of the shopping cart you will be using to push yer gear around in the snow in New Paltz, on the way to and from dumpster diving at the Otter.

you want to use a mira for alpine touring? go ahead - telemark skis and AT skis are pretty much interchangeable. i ski the crossbows in an AT setup and love them.
