looking for conditions at both the spider's web and avalanche pass? anyone have a clue?

Spiders Web looked pretty dry Tuesday morning, but I don't know how much snow that area got (and will get tonight) since then.

Av. Pass should be quite snowy, icy and cold still.

I have heard that the first weekend in april is prime for the north face of gothics. can anyone corroborate this before a 5 hour drive for a washout?

A buddy of mine went out to washbowl on friday and he said everthing was still pretty wet> They started up partition but gave up due to flowing water>

I just came from the adirondacks.

I saw the top of the gothics slides and the far left side of the face is still pretty white, but, the right side is grey. It was hot both yesterday and today so, it's taking a beating. Conditions, come this weekend, will be iffy at best unless there's a big freeze.

The hiking is currently great, particularly for trail-less peaks because the herd paths are beat down quite well.
