I searched under Peterskill, Peterkill, Peters Kill and Peter Kill and I know someone posted it recently....but I recall someone mentioning the date for when Peterskill opens to climbers for the season (or did I dream this?).

I even called Mohonk to get redirected to Minnewaska.

And I apologize to all those who listed this under posts none of us EVER want to see again!!!

Thanks!

Call the main # for Minnewaska (State Park). They can tell you what you need to know.

If you were even able to get a direct # for PK, (which I'm not even sure there is one, period), then it likely went unanswered since, it is CLOSED now and nobody's there.

AND, there's no ice on the cliffs. Spoke with them today about that very thing...

They're expecting to be open next weekend, but they suggested that I call midweek next week to find out for sure.

The number is HERE.

I was looking at the route finder, and it lists routes at Peterskill. Does one of the Williams guides show routes there?

I have small thin book they sell at R&S, but I don't remember it listing nearly as many routes as the route finder has.

I have that same book, and all of the climbs listed in it are in the routefinder database.

In addition, there are a few climbs listed HERE that aren't in the routefinder database, but are in my guidebook - thanks to a certain member of Team Ahhhh-Kersplat.

Do you have the old guide (tan cover) or the new one that came out last year (I think it was last year) - the new one has more routes in it.

It's white, think I got it in 2001 or maybe early 2002. Haven't seen it since then.

The route finder says the routes are from Williams black books, so I was just wondering if one of his books had PK routes. And there seemed to be more than I remember, but well it has been two years. Guess I'll go dig through boxes and look for the current guide if has all (or most) of the routes.

Sounds like you have the old guide... always something new to buy. I think I bought mine in the Deli.
