ITALY: EROSION FELLS CLIMBERS' PEAK IN THE ALPS The Torre Trephor, one of the Cinque Torri, or Five Towers, of Cortina, a rock formation in the Dolomites in northern Italy that is part of a popular route for rock climbers, has collapsed because of erosion. The Five Towers attract thousands of climbers every year. A spokesman for the Cortina tourist office said the collapsed tower was one of the smallest of the rocky boulders, measuring around 120 feet. Hey Smike - weren't you just in that area?
