ITALY: EROSION FELLS CLIMBERS' PEAK IN THE ALPS The Torre Trephor, one of the Cinque Torri, or Five Towers, of Cortina, a rock formation in the Dolomites in northern Italy that is part of a popular route for rock climbers, has collapsed because of erosion. The Five Towers attract thousands of climbers every year. A spokesman for the Cortina tourist office said the collapsed tower was one of the smallest of the rocky boulders, measuring around 120 feet. Nice, I think that was about an hour north of where I was. The climbs we did were right along Lago di Garda or for English speaking fans Lake Garda

Although some (large house sized blocks) of rock we encountered where somewhat poor along the via ferriata route.

Renamed to Quattro Torre?
