No one's mentioned it, so I figured I'd mention that I saw a huge block the size of a microwave oven pull from I believe Elder Cleavage on Friday. It was on the last pitch in a steep overhanging section. Luckily the climber was OK and no one was on the bottom. I was belaying on the ledge of Yellow Ridge when it happened, and it was quite a crash.

I'm pretty sure you can't see EC from YR. There was however a large rock dropped from Fat City on Friday. Rich Gottlieb was on the route at the time and may know more.

OK, yes it was Fat City then, it was Rich on the route, but I couldn't tell which route it was. I tried to ask him which route it was when he was rapelling down, but I couldn't hear him. It really was an impressive sized rock.

Does the rockfall change the route in any way? Where on the route did it fall from? Are there any more lose blocks?

I bet the block that came off was after the second pitch crux, it didn't seemed to be held in there by anything but its own weight. If what I say is true I don't think it changes it at all. Hope I am right!
