Hey everyone, my name is Doxey - me and my buddies are visiting from Seattle and loving climbing at the Gunks - er, until the rain of course

We were on Gelsa and took this photo of someone leading Yellow Ridge on Thursday, maybe around 3:00pm. I figure she might want the photo.

You get a great view of the action on YR from Gelsa, don't you? First time I watched someone on the last pitch I was terrified, and I think I quaked the whole way up the Gelsa corner.

I beleive that climb is Grand Central, no? I could be mistaken. Nice photo. Hope you guys get some more good weather while you are visiting.

Nope, that's Yellow Ridge for sure.

I apolagize, I am wrong yet again. Have only been on this route once before but i remember a lot of traversing to the left. Is this picture taken after the traverse or is it a variation to go straight up, instead of the traverse to the arete. If so, anyone know what the variation goes at, and if it is worth doing, or better than the regular route, if this is a variation that is.

The photo is reversed, hense your dis-orientation.

The picture, which is not reversed, is of the regular route, after all the leftward traverses. The yellow ridge below the leader is the Yellow Ridge of the route name.

Well, we gotta get going back home - drat! Now that the sun is shining again its really a heartbreaker. But we sure did have a good time. We even got in High Ex right before the rain started.

I hope the person leading Yellow Ridge finds her photo.
