Does anyone know of any good camping near Cathedral and Whitehorse Ledges? I usually stay at one of the state campgrounds, but it seems that they don't open untill Mid May. I would prefer not to camp off of the road in the White mountain National Forest. I am open to any suggestions.

Do you want to stay legally or illegally. The best place I've ever stayed was at a swimming beach that the locals told us about, otherwise try "Iron" (like Iron horse or 7th Iron) something camping (near the river about 15miles north of town (my mind is failing me- I thinks its old age). Its on state land, really nice place.

Naw, this is as you drive north out of Conway, passing the Roadkill Cafe, there is a camping area with a turnout just off the road. You then have to walk in about 1/4 mile. Due to the ecological sensitivity, the National Forest Service (I think its NFS) has built wood platforms to pitch your tent on. The place is really nice since you are down by the river, and since you are off the road, we have never had any problems pitching the tent and leaving out tent and bags there when we go climbing.(May not be recommended anymore since times change, and sh%t gets stolen)
