rg@ofmc Pooh-Bah Registered: 12/25/99 Posts: 2412 Loc: Poughkeepsie, NY	Frank is right, as Dawn said. Tim went straight up the crack, which Grey Dick says is 5.9. According to Grey Dick, there are face holds on the left that make it 5.7. I'm not sure where they are; I'd say the route is 5.8.

dalguard veteran Registered: 03/22/00 Posts: 1515 Loc: CT	The route is 5.7 and always will be or else it will lose its "hardest 5.7 at the Gunks" designation. Not putting your hand out left seems a bit contrived. On the other hand, not using the crack seems impossible.

For the record, with over 6,000 views, this is now the 3rd most popular thread on gunks.com.
