What did you think of the "3rd class" to the topout? "3rd class, my ass," was my reaction!

<sheepishly admits> We didn't top out. We did the two pitches above the 10a stem/roof and rapped, so I never experienced the pleasure of the "walk"-off.

Agreed, absolutely a stellar route. I was dreading the 5.9 off-width, anticipating a 70-foot squirmfest. Instead it was a wonderful mix of jamming, stemming, laybacking, and some other -ings I don't think I ever knew existed. Great fun!

I just hope no one is underneath that 8 foot (?) monolith-flake when it detaches. Spooky!

That climb has a little of everything! The 5.8 bombay chimney was pretty wild! And I loved the two roofs (the crux, and the 5.7/5.8 one above - to the double cracks).

Tim Keenan stylin' on a conveniently located climb that, if not a classic, is much better than it looks at first.

Heh heh heh. Finally one that plays to my strengths. However, since I actually saw him leading it, I won't guess.
