Did I climb it with you and Chris? If so, this pic might be of me off-route, which makes it harder! Anyway, yeah, that was fun, and I remember the climb and the day. But, I still have no idea of the name of the route.

haha, this is the day you are thinking of...I think the off-route climbing was done a little lower (P1). A nearby route with a bolted anchor at the top of P1 tempted our leader to head that way... \:\)

Once the correct bolted anchor was established, we were afforded the view shown in the picture, and I THINK we were back on route.

The hints were:
naught oft => not often climbed
popular hang out => lots of hanging on gear or arms
daaaang => as in Dangler
lower my stannards => as in John
discussion of bolted anchors and views to other nearby climbs

Thus I go with P2 of Higher Stannard.

Nice job MarcC! The "big hang-out" (hang or overhang) clue was really the same as the Dangler clue, just not a specific. NIce job though.

It really is a nice climb, P1 of course is great, but P2 is nice and steep in spots, considering that it goes at 5.5 or something easy like that.

Strange, I don't remember any big right-ward traverse on P2. I thought it trended generally up and a bit left. Oh well. This is why I carry guidebooks with me on climbs. I can't remember diddly.

I can identify the climber and the day, so I'll recluse myself.

Dawn, you are many (good)things, but a recluse is not one of them
