Naw but the three little ones passed us 5 times. They would go up hill and get to the cliff and then turn back and just walk right on down the road. Very cool

Wow, amazing. Kind of puts to shame how impressed I was by the turkey I saw between the northbound Palisades Parkway and the first overlook just north of the GW bridge on Tuesday.

By the way, I prefer "Uber-pooper". But maybe that's just me.

That would have freaked me out a little but very cool. The carriage road looks like a jungle in your photos. Beautiful.

I don’t feel like I would have been freaked out, but I think that is probably the right feeling unless you know where mom is.

On the other hand when Evan (9) and I we saw a bear from the car on the way in to boulder at dusk in Ricketts Glen last year, it did freak us out a little bit. We just couldn’t get comfortable by ourselves in the growing dark and we didn’t stay to long.

Well the poor trail runner that came hauling arse round the corner to see the three was looking pretty freaked out.

Could be from the same family (I don't know their daily migration habits), but early Friday morning two bears walked through the backyard woods. They just ambled past as I watched them from the window. Perhaps they were using the Canaan Trail as their Thruway...

I've seen evidence of bears -- mostly just stripped bark -- but never had a visual sighting until Friday.
