Send an e-mail or fax to the folks doing the study of recreation in hunterdon county park system.

you'll have to follow the web site to the company's e-mail address. a fax would be better.

the more who send the material the better off climbing access's argument will be.

let me know if you have any suggestions or thoughts on this issue.

the draft report on recreation in hunterdon county is found below:

this is the defacto opening.

the more the merrier would be my mindset.

rock on.

spread de word.

I'd like to send something out to my company mailing list to everybody who lives between DC and Boston.

What should they say? Imagine that most of them have never been there, and don't even know that you can climb in Jersey.

TIA for the ideas, and thanks now for the work.

two years ago the hunterdon county freeholders under some dubious actions made rock climbing and bouldering illegal in hunterdon county, nj. we have been fighting the good fight since then. access nj had to file a open public records act to review the minutes of the board to even see the regulations.

we are meeting w/ the park system on monday (which took close to a year to arrange) but they are seeking general input on recreation in the parks.

see the section on access nj's web site: hunterdon county.
there are 4 maybe more areas where bouldering takes place in hunterdon county.
action item:

tell the people doing the survey for hunterdon county park system that you favor the legalization of bouldering and rock climbing in Hunterdon County parks.

keep it short and simple.

meet w/ the park system went well.

we'll be doing a joint survey of bouldering and climbing sites in thr county plus do some hands on w/ the park system. this should take until mid-august.

other issues will then be addressed.

if anyone wants to participate in these actions please advise.

keep writing letters and or sending emails, now more then ever w/ climbers need to show an interest.
