I'll be in the Smugglers Notch, Vermont area in June and would like to know if there's any rock climbing there. I know about the ice, but is the rock worth a look? If so, are there any guide books on the area? Thanks!

There's a bouldering guide available.

I've been up there once. The bouldering is good. We didn't have a guide, but did alright, though I'm sure we missed a lot of good stuff. There were some huge cliffs up above, on the hill behind the boulders. A local told me there was good climbing up there, however I don't know if there's a guide. The stuff looked pretty cool though.

My parents just bought a place up there that I plan to use often. From what I have been told there is excellent bouldering. I know that there are some rock routes too. Your best source of info would be to call Climb High. they are located in Shelburne and they are ALWAYS very helpful. (They had allot of beta for me when I was up there on several occasions this winter.) They have a web page - you should be ale to get their # there. It is www.climbhigh.com
