Steve Karafa, president of Acopa, was killed in the accident. John was injured but expected to make a recovery, although apparently he has no medical insurance and thus the fundraiser.

I have a pair of Acopa Chameleons, they fit great and the rubber is fantastic, I use them for my all day shoes. I bought them blind off the website, the first pair were too big so I emailed Steve and he responded and I sent the shoes back and got a smaller size.

A sad day.
