It would certainly appear that this winter is quite different from typical winters in this hemisphere. Eastern CO is getting dumped on (I woke up to another 8" this AM in Denver). Western CO is having an average year. And the East is having about the worst year one could imagine for snow and ice.

This has been the most remarkable winter in the east. As I'm writing this it's 52 degrees and the last signs of winter, such as the ice on the driveway are gone again. By the way I live in the champlain valley just east of keene valley. We've had a handful of days this winter that I consider to be level one cold, like twenty for the high. I've been running in shorts and riding my mountain bike periodically for the past couple of months when I should be skiing. What's next?
