Do I have to take off my shirt and scream while ice climbing?

You can, if you wish, remove your shirt and scream like a 19-year-old boulderer-- and don't forget the cigarettes and boom box (aren't boulderers using iPods yet?).

It won't matter because I assure you, you will be climbing alone.

Last Tuesday, my friend and I came up with the idea of marketing a "Thermobra" after we decided it was too warm for handwarmer packets but had already opened them up. With nowhere good to put them, but not wanting them to go to waste, we stuck them in our bras. Warmth and great push-up effect, all in one. I figure, we could sew in little pockets just for the packets... yeah?

Warmth and push-up effect! That's just what I'll tell my wife I'm helping her with tonight.

OK, I'll admit it, I was a skeptic about D-elvis's idea of shirtless ice climbing, but I tried it today.

It was noon at Asbestos Park, with most of the lines reaching the ground taken. It was 21 degrees out, so I figured, why not. and I doffed my shirt and started soloing something. Amid stares of disbelief (OK, it was revulsion) I soloed up and down for a while, and the next time I looked around, everyone had left. I got dressed again, and we enjoyed our pick of climbs.
