we're heading to Rumney soon, our first visit. Are dogs allowed at the Rumney crags? I don't have a guidebook yet to consult and I've done some searches and came up empty. We normally don't bring the dog because we wouldn't leave him unattended while climbing. My 14 yr old son (who climbs harder than I do at the gym) has talked me into trying some sport climbing after 25 years of trad. Am I getting soft in my old age? As part of his persuasive argument, he said we'd be able to take the dog because one of us would always be on the ground. He also told to me "free my mind and my ass would follow", We'll see.......

From what I remember, dogs are accepted at Rumney. Since the climbs are almost all single pitch, you can keep an eye on the pooch.

Theer were several there this weekend. I think it is OK.

As long as they don't hang on the bolts. I hate hang-dogs!
