This is an ongoing story at Supertopo and elsewhere but the gist is Michael Reardon was swept off a sea cliff in Ireland by a rogue wave (after completing a deep water solo I believe) and is missing at sea. I think it happened sometime yesterday and as more time elapses his chances get worse.

Let's hope for the best.

Positive vibes to his wife and young daughter.

Here is the link at ST with the most up to date info.

Again I wish the best for him and his.

Bummer... it looks like they have called off the search.

When I met him, he was a very nice guy and full of energy. Its sad to see him go like this, especially since he is leaving a wife and daughter behind.

Apparently from all that knew him Mike was absolutely full of life. My thoughts go out to his wife and daughter.

Its been a hard year or so for the climbing worldÂ….

This sucks. He came and did a slideshow nearby not too many months ago and went out afterwards for some beers with a big group of us. He was really quite inspiring, full of energy and excitement and fun. I'm so sorry for his family and friends.
