Trying to put together a trip with an old friend who lives out there. Petit Grepon and Notched Top (sp?) are on the list. Anyone familiar enough to recommend any other long routes in the 5.6-5.9 range that you liked?

In RMNP, Spearhead also has a good 5.6 and a good 5.9. While up by the Petit, you should also climb Sharks Tooth.

Most routes in the Indian Peaks are a bit shorter. Mt Toll has a nice 5.6, and Lone Eagle Peak has a nice 5.7 that is mostly easier with a long approach.

The Aprons on Mt Evans are fun very high altitude alpine cragging. You could easily do a couple of routes in a day there.

Check out route descriptions for these places on mountainproject.com

Thanks. Didn't think of Mt. Evans. Pics of Lone Eagle certainly are beautiful.

I've enjoyed the Jackson-Johnson on Hallet's but the mags are recommending the Culp-Bossier. Hallet's is a good call for a first climb when you get out there. Mellow approach, nice setting, some altitude for conditioning.
