is there an intermediate rappel anchor on welcome to the gunks?
there's slings on a tree, but is there something lower to get down with one rope? perhaps a fixed pin anchor?

Yeah, there's a nest on Laughing Man, low and to the right.

Ah.
Thanks.

We used the Laughing Man recently for a 1-rope rappel over there, because it didn't look like the rope reached the ground, but it turns out a 60 meter will reach that last little ledge you can wall off from.

With rope stretch they can probably reach the ledge. Haven't seen anyone try it though, people seems content to take the extra couple of minutes to do the double rap, even when told they could make the ledge.

The ledge below the WTTG roof. Traverse to the right and step off on the hill going up to CG.

You can downclimb from the ledge or hang down and drop, it's not too far. If your rope is really stretchy or a couple m's long you might be able to drop straight to the ground.

It would suck though to find out your rope isn't as stretchy as you thought or is a couple m's short and you end up hanging just below the roof with no rope left.

Use a 70m and you can TR Welcome though that gets into that rope-stretch safety issue.......fun if you know you can climb it.

I did Credibility Gap again on Saturday, man, what a move. What commitment. What rope drag!
I checked out the rap line before heading up, and found the Laughing man tat-nest. More importantly, we found it on the way DOWN. Awesome.
