To go to Huckleberry Pt, where do you start from? I have a Trail Conference map (a few years old) but am unclear as to where the starting point is.

Also, to do short trips around North Lake, what is recommended?

I have never hiked to it myself but it sounds pretty.

A popular hike starting from North Lake is to take the Escarpment Trail (blue trail markers) north to North Mountain - a good climb up to open ledges with views to the east and south. Go further north for an out and back for as long as you want, or loop back on the Mary's Glen Trail (red blazes).
You can also head south from the lake on the Escarpment Trail - lots of views to the east from open rock ledges. But you might already get this from the Huckleberry Point hike.
