New site looks really really nice! Lot of cool new features. The "unread posts" flag doesn't seem to be working for me at the minute. Aside from that, it seems okay. Even an old link is bringing me to the new site.

When do photos come back? Can't even see where they'd be if they were here...

Observations about the "new look"

IP addresses and star ratings no longer appear.
Threads started on Ubbthreads after the "release" of Ubbthreads7 are gone (Daylight Saving Time on Almost Anything Goes, for instance.)
And yes, the pictures.
I like some of the new features, but the FAQ page doesn't tell us how to use them.
The My Profile page changed, but the user-entered fields from the old page are still there, so the answers to the questions about one's climbing are concatenated without a title (check your My Profile page.)
As I pointed out in the shoutbox, the latter is a space that invites maledictions of all sorts. Dalguard's observation is apropos too; we'd rather see nice ads than flames.

Don't take the above too gravely; I appreciate the time and effort expended for this change.

Looks like the unread flag is kind of coming back. I'm hoping once I'm using the same forum every day that it's going to work. I really only need two things out of a forum: the ability to turn off signatures and avatars (check) and a way to jump to the first unread post (maybe check).

You're right of course (but it's arguable that MS actually has a solid development process. In an ideal world, the dev process would be such that all bugs were caught during QC/QA.) The issue here is really one of poor implementation. A lot of the things people squawked about could have been caught by process alone and aren't really bugs as such.

I just had the unread flag issue, a few threads claimed to have unread messages {red in parens} but when I opened those threads there wasn't anything I hadn't already red.

This is another thread in need of a decent burial.

Then why did you just resurrect it after a year of slumber?
