The DMM version seems pretty good and I I've climbed with a couple folk using them, but I don't think the alloy is as soft as the original HBs and seems a bit tougher to get it to stick.

They only sell them in sizes up to #6 (sizes 0-2 are for aid IMHO) so that leaves you with 3 nuts to use for your trad rack. Not a full selection for me. So the DMM will fill in nicely the mid - larger sizes in offsets which I find brass to be of lesser value.

HB offset brassies at yosemite gifts or at the yosemite climb shop, they ship fast. Aluminum DMM (HB formerly) at the same places, been using them since I got them when they first hit the shops. Stick well in sandstone and granite, no complaints. Had a set of HB's before I lost my gear in a fire, think their about the same. Believe their distributed by Excalibur in Salt Lake.
