Lisa, I'll definitely have someone with me the next go around. I also will do research into the physiology of these events and how to avoid sudden bonks post exercise. As much as I don't relish the idea of further movement after 100 miles, I wonder if a 20-30 minute warm down, while downing fluids and cals, might be the answer.
Dawn, I imagine I was well behind Steve by the first aid station. I'm usually mid pack for the first half of ultras and slowly inch forward in the second half.
VT 100 updated the finishers and separated out the 100ks. Congrats to all -- a strong showing (top 15%)! Steve gets the yellow jersey, Lisa gets the polka dots, and Nate, Dawn and Lisa's pacer (name?) get free beers for the next month.
