That begs the question... If Jesus climbed, would he need a big wall anchor for the belay on Madame G's? I bet He'd run the two pitches together. Then again, I'm thinking He'd free solo in a pair of sandals and a tunic.

I usually try not to snicker at people's heartfelt religious beliefs, but I can't help but wonder: if Jesus is his security, why does he need a rope?

I'm sure the words will resonate with some people but not likely with those who actually climb. The analogy is heartfelt on his part but we are desensitized to the context in which many would project stark fear and awe. Although I'm a christian, the entire clip seemed way overdone and stupid for the above reason. On the other hand, I would not deny anyone's reason for enjoying a bit of climbing. At least he is having at it instead of sitting home.
