Thanks. Actually, we did P1 to the LEFT of the chimney, not as per the description above. Protected well and there were good tool placements!

OK, time to get this post rolling again! This picture will most likely be very easy to guess, but it's a video still taken from a climbing movie. Can you name the movie, and does anyone know the background of this photo (I don't)

This simply cannot be the Shawangunks - I do not see a toprope, hammock, herd of domesticated canines, or babies....WELCOME TO THE GUNKS!

Well the picture was taken pre-hammock/dogpack/baby days, but yes, Welcome to the Gunks. So, who's the person? He's quite famous and actually just visited our rainy cliffs recently.

But what's the movie? The movie is from the First Ascent series "Alone on the wall". When they go back to Alex's home in California they show a bunch of pictures of him when he was younger and I immediately recognized the Gunks. I didn't know he had climbed here as a kid.
