Steve and I are doing the Reach the Beach relay next weekend. He's on an established team that had a dropout so I got to join last minute. Anyone else going to be there?

I have heard that is a fun relay although it involves a lot of logistics. Hope you have good weather for it. With Steve involved I will be expecting another top 10 finish

No, no top 10 finish this time. We have Steve but he's only running 20 miles of the 200. The rest of us are mere mortals.

I'm joining an established team so the logistics are under control. I just have to show up, pay my money, and run.

I've got the first leg so it's a big responsibility and I haven't run a road race in about a year. Hopefully I can get somewhere near the 8 minute pace they have me down for.

Saw a t-shirt with that on it the other day... anyone got a link?

Dawn and Steve, have a great time running from the Whites to the Atlantic.
There is a similar event in Oregon, the Hood to Coast relay, 'only' 197 miles.

Sounds pretty cool... Although I was kind of hoping it was a race more like this one: Ski-to-Sea

Ooh the Ski to Sea looks like fun! Very cool idea.
Of course, the Inferno is closer to home - surely we can get a Gunks team together - dibs on the hiking/running leg.
We were in Pinkham during the Inferno weekend this year. It looked like a lot of fun (and hard work) - we skied in the Gulf of Slides until the crowds at Tuckerman had disappeared.
