Not a bad place to teach your girlfriend how to climb/belay. Gets 'em out of the gym and confident with the gear.

I was surprised to see 4 groups of climbers there on Sunday. It was kind of chilly and everyone was sniffling, beautiful day to climb.

On the other hand, the amount of webbing needed to set up a top-rope anchor there is just ridiculous.


It doesn't compare to the gunks at all but is 20-30 minutes closer to me. My girlfriend felt ten times more comfortable and secure climbing there than at the gunks. I may have to take her there for awhile so she can get more confident.

As you can see i'm bored ...........

you can actually lead most of the climbs there, the protection is sparse but i've done most of them.
