dude 13 hrs is ridiculous for crusty snow. when you can get on a plane out to SLC in 5hrs, and ski pow. LCC 200" in April

You make a good point Jon, but I spent Christmas in Utah so it was a nice change, I think I'll be going somewhere West next Spring Break though. 13 hours sounds ridiculous but that's from door to trailhead and the whole trip cost under $400.
The trip to SLC:
2 hours to Newark
arrive 1.5 hours early
5 hour flight (w/o delays)
.5 hours baggage claim
1 hour get rental car and drive up Cottonwood canyon
It's closer to 10 hours with no Caribou, no Poutaine, no cheap cabins at the trailhead.
