The real brown dog, Bubba, appears quite adept at testing aliens. I've only witnessed the destruction of one green with which he was anchored to the cliff but the stories are many. For those of you wondering, it is still on the owners rack.

a few months ago i heard that slopur took a bad ground fall when an alien failed at the braze while he was a on hard runout lead....

but i figured it couldnt be true....






he would obviously just solo the route....

just to be clear the Bubba dog did indeed f up a green alien, but not to failure. the trigger wires got compromised as he was twisting the placement around a sharp edge and the placemnt had to be removed with dual nut tools. After swaging on some new trigger wires the piece was go to go, considered fully pull tested, and has indeed been in continuous use with acceptable results.

been gone too long.....what about my pre 2000 aliens? the ones i hauled a 400 pound pig up el cap with ....several times?
