Not only does that route look familiar, I think I know that climber too. I have to say your pic shows that crack looking a LOT shorter than I remember it. (And it was only a few hours ago.) I recall at least 50 feet of suffering!

Here's a shot looking back from near the end of the crack (in the midst of the hanging/A1 section...thank you for not posting that). Have to go back up there soon to redeem myself...

No one has named it yet but I'm guessing if you were on it you know it! The pic of the pro in the crack would have made a good guess the route photo.

cfrac- Those are great shots of that yet-to-be-named route. Where did you take them from, Middle Earth? Is that other climber on Thin Slabs Direct? Can I get copies of the originals?

Is the second route with the multiple tiers Broken Sling? Yet another of these that looks soooo familiar but my advanced age prevents full recognition/association with a name.

Maybe I am totally mixing up route names, but I know I've been on that route (5.8, I believe) with the heel hook and if you fall as a second you're going to have a hell of a time getting back on. Someone help me, then, what is the route?

I thought you were guessing about cfrac's second route (the toproping one with the overhangs) when you said Modern Times.

But cfrac's heel hook photo is also not Modern Times, which I know because I'm the one in the pic. I found it significantly tougher than MT.

It does sound, however, like you are thinking of Modern Times from your description. It's just that the pic is not Modern Times.

deniso is correct the climb is not Modern Times and it is much harder. That is p2 of Nurse's Aid which I think is 10a but I think it's just as hard as pitch one. Chip got the second picture it is Broken Sling.

As for where I was when I took the picture of Nurse's Aid, you tell me....
