Anyone have experience with an elderly relative living in any assisted living or nursing homes in Orange County? I'm looking for a nice place for my mother who is reaching that point where she can't be independent anymore. Thanks for any information.

You should contact the NYS Office for the Aging

Good luck!

My Grandmother stayed at a very nice assisted living home in Highland next to the intersection of 9W and 299. I can get the name for you if interested.

J, this is a nursing home right here in Orange Cty. Only a few miles into Orange from Ulster, directly on Albany Post Rd. It is two miles from my home, approximately one mile north of Montgomery, which puts it only about 22+/_ minutes to the cliffs. I have no other info for you other than the url. This web connection will offer lots of info, including service, type of care, citations, complaints, etc. on any facility you may be looking at.
