Chris, these old mines have no restriction as far as I know. Someone just invented a way to send a text message from within a cave to assist in cave rescue work. I guess it works on ultra low band, ham radio type waves.

Have they found hibernaculums in those mines?

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. That's how the insidiousness starts, as a means to facilitate rescues. Even the Underworld is no longer safe from safety.

The mines that are bat hibernaculums are protected and we dont go into these, regardless they are gated by the DEP if they are important hibernaculums. We always seek permission and respect all living organisms and even artifacts in the mines. In fact we had never been turned down by a private owner. We are very open and communicative on our intentions.
