Anyone know of good crags near Santa Fe that are either topropable or in the 5.7 - 5.9 sport range (OK, maybe 5.10)? I'll be out there this weekend and am thinking I might take a rope, shoes and some draws if there's something nearby.

There are a number of excellent basalt toproping crags around Los Alamos which is around a 1 hr drive from Santa Fe. The Playground is particularly fine. I did my first climbing at a place called the Y which may be the closest one to Santa Fe. If you search the internet, you will find an online guide to Los Alamos which has plenty of beta. After the big fire, some of the crags may remain closed.

Cochiti Mesa in the Jemez is fun for a few days - some sport routes and toproping. There was free camping when i was there as well, but it has been a few years. It is about an hour south of Santa Fe.
This isn't an office. It's Hell with fluorescent lighting.
