Curious to hear if anyone knows of any new routes put up since the trapps grey dick went to print.

I know that Cody was working on a couple routes at the time, so imagine there might be some new stuff to check out.

Also, as an aside, if anyone does put up a new route, where should they report it? R&S or what?

Dynamite if you're putting up new routes this time of year (or any time.) And if you want to record them, why not contact Dick Williams? His address is in the gray Dick (p. xxv in the Introduction.)

With a revision to the Catskill ice guide in the works, there seems to be a push on new mixed lines up there. That roof crack on Viola still needs some attention (hint).

Second that. That's a great area of the cliff, and knowing those two, probably a damn good route.

This is the roof - the route starts about 30 feet below and left, diagonals right and then goes up through the roof and then exits right.

Not very long. If it were longer, it would be great. Now it is just good (IMHO).

Don Lauber and I did a route in that general vicinity (left of Falled on Acount of Strain) way back. We reported it, but Dick, I thought, said it had already been done. It was in the 9-10 range with decent gear. Pretty good route I thought.
