don't ask me how or why, but what I recognized first was the ground where the rap bolts are. then the rock features made sense - the major open book, the mini-ledge, and the overhang to climber's left that you head right, on jugs, to exit around.

I had it too, I was just too slow. Funny enough I did that pitch for the first, and second time, just this past season. Not bad.

I really like the first pitch, too - very interesting and a good variety for 5.6!

Ground with the rap bolts? I don't remember rap bolts on the GT ledge there...could be old age!

The second pitch was great but required some route finding. I mean, I could see that I was at A and had to get to C (and I could see C), but there appeared to be several ways (or B's) to get to C! I explored a couple different ways, but when my partner saw the moves that I was about to do, he requested that I look for a better way to go! I ended up choosing a way that was either awkward 5.6, or harder than 5.6. I'm thinking awkward...

I took the following picture while I was climbing a pitch I've climbed a couple times this year (approached from different sides). It will be easy to guess, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.
