Dear Douchebag,

No one wants to hear your baby screaming. You made a life altering decision, now its time change your life. Bring a 3rd adult along to entertain your baby, instead of leaving them AT THE BASE OF BABY screaming in the stroller while you climb.
Or, better yet, leave the baby at home until they are old enough to enjoy themself.
Idiot.

Love,
Evan

A baby was actually left unattended while the parents were climbing? Not just a parent nearby belaying, but both off the ground?

Should have come out to Lost City with us instead. Three 3 star routes within 50' of each other that haven't been climbed in years, with nary a soul in sight all day. Ahh, I love solitude

Well, the climb is called "Baby" ...and I consider it G-rated. So I can see how new parents might think it is the stroller parking area!

At the base of Baby? Hope that was the Abandon Ur Tot Crag Carriage with the fiberglass rockfall shield.

Call child protection services. Those folks ain't fit.

This is an interesting variation on the 'dogs at the cliff rant.'

Wow! With all the loose rock crap falling off the ledge on Easy O and Baby!
Maybe the kid was screaming after seeing Ol'man Picard.

Dear Evan:

My heart bleeds for you, you drive all the way from long island to climb in the wilderness that is the Gunks and when one of your own kind ruins your "adventure" you say nothing to them at the time.

then you come hear and post up, apparently you grow a sac when you log on. My advice to you......Take your laptop to the cliff..........log in to gunks.com.........and you might send that 5.6 you have been to scared to step up to.

Rwabbit-
NOT my own kind. I was not about to add ANOTHER distraction to the already ridiculous situation for the belayer. Plus, it was time to get HOME to my little ones, who spent the WEEKEND with their grandparents.

my older daughter has come to the cliff a whopping TWICE. once, she slept (like a baby) on a blanket at the base of Dennis.
the second time, she played (like a child) at the base of frogs head with her friend David, while being watched by SEVEN adults, one of which was there solely to entertain and watch the kids.

the incident on sunday, I saw a parent nearby belaying, but completely ignoring the screaming little baby.
Evan

PS. I complain about the dogs too.
PPS. 5.6? I've been scared on plenty of 5.3s lately. don't get me started.
