Hello All...New to Gunks.com...first post! My wife and i are relocating from salt lake city to the new paltz area in August...This is short notice I realize, but we will be in your area June 6-10 or so and are hoping to secure our future living situation within this time interval. We know very few people in the area and I am hoping someone would be willing to share some living space (i.e. crash on a floor). Any interval of time would be great.

Welcome. I don't live anywhere near the gunks or I would offer space. There is free camping at the Multi-Use Area, managed by the NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation, if you need it. Not much in the way of cheap motels but you can check them out on the links through this site. Hope it works out well for you.

Thanks to those who have replied. Im in NYC now... I'll be in New Paltz Sunday. No luck yet... I had to travel lightly because of mobility issues while im here in the city, so I couldn't bring sleeping bags and camping stuff easily. Oh well, thanks for noticing...the special lady and I will just grab a motel for a few days...no big deal...it was more about meeting people than the $!!!
