never did get to climb there after nearly a decade of summers in southwest france...but always wanted to....if you find good beta and have a good trip please post up on good routes or areas to visit....

i do know that there is an english language guidebook from cicerone....i'm pretty sure its the "rock climbs in the pyrenees" or something similarly straightforward...probably pretty easy to google the cicerone guides and find it....though on second thought its possible that only the spainish side is covered in that book....dont own it so cant have a look

some friends always told me that the pic du midi d'ossau was a good place to go...mostly easy to moderate alpine rock routes from what i remember reading about online...i've also been told a bunch of times by some local friends that there are lots of little areas spread all over the range...not much help i know....

could also make a trip to the tarn when you're there....i hear thats great

have a good trip

gorges du tarn

supposed to be awesome...tons of great climbing
http://www.grimporama.com/francais/images/ph_tarn.htm

just google it....you could check on cosiroc/ffme websites too....

i keep hearing how good it is...but havent ever been...i think the cover of the current petzl catalog is a shot from the tarn actually....

its only about 2 hrs east of toulouse....so i'd guess its no more than 4 hours from pau/tarbes....depending on where you are in the pyrenees it could be closer....
