So is it officially open to the public or just a few to shoot videos? Also if it is open to public where is the parking?

the deal is you need to sign up for a tour given by Preserve volunteers. The initial tours were not advertised in order to work out any kinks. It seems that the tours are simply an interim plan, but if you want to check it PM me and ill give you the link

So these boulderers signed up for a tour given by a Preserve volunteer? I highly doubt that. Anyone notice what highly recognizable emblem is on the green hat that is worn backwards?

i was there and we did have to sign up on-line and have our mohonk season pass or buy a day pass that day.

i think 15 people was the group limit but that could change.overall the place was cool - little small but new stuff is always nice.

I got that hat. Thats me. Its a NYS parks hat that was left at our house forever. It is indeed true; Hank Alicandri hired several of us as volunteers. We are giving tours to those interested. So there.

Next up, we give tours to the routes in the middle of the Nears...
