In Stone Ridge, about a 15 minute drive from the cliffs, there is a small venue called Marbletown Multi Arts. It seats maybe 50-60 people. For the last few years, they have been producing some really fine concerts featuring fairly well known acts (that play bigger venues), usually of the folk or alt rock persuasion.

During the month of September, Center for Creative Education (the concert promoter) is competing for a $25,000 Pepsi grant. The way they win this grant is by having people like us sign up on the Pepsi site and vote once each day for the entire month (you can miss days, btw). Last month, they got pretty close, placing around 22nd. You have to be in the top 10 to win the grant.

Some of you may know that the Rosendale movie theater won a similar grant (for $50,000) a few months ago to purchase the theater and keep it from closing for good.
