Oops! Sorry to stir up all this mess. We _thought_ we were doing Face to Face. Here's the start of the pitch:

And then the leader went about 20 feet right. Here he is before he went behind the tree and out of sight:

After the traverse, I think he maybe went up a tad and pretty much stopped there. Then on my lead, IIRC I went up right through some thin facey stuff, and then back left through some roofy loose and scary looking blocks.

So what did we do?

I think you did 3 vultures, then drifted back in to face to face after the F2F crux.

Yep, you skipped the pretty wild hand traverse on Face to Face P2.

Hmm... that's odd. So we did the *wrong* wild 15-20 foot hand traverse?

Oh, and in all fairness, RG and Cfrac will have to share the prize for this one.

From Mountain Project. The photo below is the hand traverse right on p2. At the very end of face to face's p3 you hand traverse left and you pass a large hollow flake. Both are fun and airy.

Humphbutter, I ain't sharin' my grand prize with no one. You wanna give cfrac the Clairvoyance Award for divining the leader's intentions, well...fine. But at the decisive moment of exposure, as Henri Cartier-Bresson would have it, the leader had all four limbs and all pro on Three Vultures.

So, are we going to have a duel of the pedants, then? I yield to no one in sheer pedantry. Ahem (tap, tap).

If I thought cfrac, who is certainly an upstanding young man, had the general capability to read people's minds, I would have proposed him for the Clairvoyant Award. If, however, I thought that, through some special circumstances, he managed, on this one occasion, to read someone's mind---without however possessing this estimable facility in general---then I am linguistically obliged to propose him for the Clairvoyance Award, since the occasional exercise of the quality in question is not the same as its continual possession.

(Cough.)

RG,
Did you mean a duel of the pedance, rather than a duel?

Two points to ShakesALot for making a reference that slipped by the estimable RG!
