if it is any consolation, I believe the very special radiant people never leave this plane of existence, or at least that their positive energy lingers long. sounds like she was one of them. sending good healing thoughts your way.

Evan, so so sorry to hear of her passing. I lost my sister to cancer this year - it was already stage 4 at the sign of her first symptom. Three of my friends were diagnosed with cancer this year, one is fighting for survival. I hope that everyone will support causes that lead to a cure for this horrible disease. This is such sad news. My thoughts are with you Evan. Big hugs.

I just saw this tonight. I'm so sorry for your loss. We climbed together about 7 years ago, and in that brief time I quickly noticed you to be a gentle soul. I remember there was a freshly killed copperhead on the carriage road that I looked at with a little disdain. Only to then see you go over to it and lay your hands on it, to examine it. You touched it carefully, gently, as if showing empathy to this now helpless creature that most of us passing by saw no value in. I was ashamed of my earlier reaction after watching you.

Your loved one must have felt deeply comforted and sustained by the compassion that surely flowed like a torrent from you during her time of distress, bringing her a measure of peace.

I hope you are finding the same kind of compassion and support.
