Sorry, this isn't climbing but I couldn't find an appropriate place to ask this on our board.
My wife and I will be visiting one of our sons in 3 weeks who is in the Escalante/Kanab area of southern Utah. She doesn't climb and doesn't want to even see a rope. We are planning to hike in Zion, which I know fairly well, but also wanted to hike in Bryce and/or Escalante, as well as visit the north rim. Any suggestions for a winter stroll in those areas? Thanks in advance.

How about Winter Camp/Hike/Snowshoe?

Thought of that, Oeno, but it says under that heading that it was for the Hudson valley area.

Likewise for North Rim Grand Canyon. I do have some info for there and Escalante. Let me know when and I'll bring them to the gym. There is some nice XC skiing on the north rim.

The south rim can get snow and ice at the top. They rent crappy "crampons" for use, but if you want to do a canyon descent hike in icy winter and have crampons, you might want to bring them.

Calf Creek Falls is a very nice stroll outside Escalante. Capital Reef Nat Park has several good hikes in narrow canyons. And of course Zion.
But the North Rim and Bryce will likely be wintery conditions, think twice about looking there.
