Broken backs from ground falls on both routes. But Transcon can be adequately protected, whereas the gear on EC is much more questionable.

The direct start to EC is 5.11, especially if you are under 6 feet, but it's a boulder problem so doesn't get to have full effect on the climb grade.

Nope, it was on EC. Dude hit the slab. This was a few years before Mike C got hurt on Transcon.

cfrac, I am shocked to think you consider this one worthy of this thread.

Sorry, I was hoping I had cropped it enough to make it tricky, but I guess not.

Here's the full shot from Saturday (just after the rain)

Looks like the Hardware Route at Skytop. These are tough! I haven't done too much out there, but they are some beautiful looking routes and rock!

It is at Skytop.

I'm sure Talus (tell us) will get it.

Speaking of the Shockley's photo above: did you see the Tomas Donoso photo essay in Rock & Ice in January? He shot a photo of Emilie Drinkwater in that part of the route just below the famous ceiling, and she's doing this high-step that makes this 5.3-ish part of the route look like it's actually hard.
