observed today, the absurdland tree is a very old pitch pine and its not doing well. would be good to consider a bolted anchor here in lieu of cable / slings.

agreed, that block is scary looking. I think we should put the new rappel bolts on it.

and not to worry - when it falls it will go in exactly the right place needed to make the trail perfect.

The first time I saw that block my heart jumped into my mouth! It points downward like a dagger. I know you are all kidding around about trundling it, but I bet it would be hard to dislodge. That thing is big and heavy.

there's quite a few huge blocks around that look soooo.. precarious. but there's something holding them there. you can't see what is. so you wonder.
