We've been getting swamped with carbon monoxide poisoning cases - as have the local EDs - and I am sure there are many that don't get reported. If you don't have power and you're using a generator, be careful.

Carbon Monoxide is a gas given off from the combustion of fuels. Like gasoline. People who have begun to heat their homes with various types of substitute sources or have generators going inside are at great risk. Generators should be outside, and ventilation is absolutely necessary when using wood stoves, propane space heaters, kitchen stoves etc while waiting for power to return. Homes, apartments etc., should also have carbon monoxide detectors installed as well.

That Hilda post (since removed by the mods) was most likely spam. One post only, on the day they registered, with an on topic but idiotic question, and a link to a site selling iPhone cases.
