There are a few reports on MP of human waste + paper on the GT at High E.

It is absolutely no one's job to go clean it. And I hope it's getting scrubbed by rain as I write this. I'm not even going to raise the possibility that someone might go attend to it. But ... I hope it disappears soon.

Emergency or not, leaving shit paper behind is irresponsible, ignorant, incosiderate, and just plain f***ing disgusting. There's a good chance the person who did it may peruse this site....You may want to consider educating yourself about LEAVE NO TRACE principles.

If someone is carrying toilet paper it is probably because they think something is brewing. If you think it might happen, don't get on a multi-pitch climb. In the very least, if you feel the need to carry tp up 140 feet then carry what you need to properly dispose of it.

Pig! I was hoping to finally lead it all tomorrow. After all this rain who knows where its laying right now. Earlier this year I stepped in someone's load that was washed down near the base of Tequila Mockingbird. Once in a year is too much. Guess I'm waiting until the spring to lead High E.

Combined with ever present bird guano, it's got to be pretty ripe up there. However, there's been a lot of heavy rain.

Unfortunately, moronic assholes who do that sort of thing also tend to try to hide it for some reason, so it takes even longer for nature to dispose of it. Is this pile out in the open or cleverly tucked under an overhang or protective rock?

Traversed GT to High E from Last Will Be First and indeed there is poop and paper behind giant guano covered boulder @ south edge of High E ledge. Don't count on rain washing it away, it's up under the roof and thus will remain for a very long time. This is not the first time I've encountered a pile dumped up under a roof ensuring long lasting stink, the gift that keeps giving. I guess the person thought they were being discrete and must assume that they did not consider the ramifications, that a totally protected location for their biz is a very bad idea.

No one goes up a climb hoping to take a dump before they get to the top. IBS, bad beer, the flu, etc. can take anyone down a bad path. Should they have packed it out? Of course, if they can, but without at least a baggie along that ain't happinin'. It'll be pretty inert in a week or two and nature won't waste the nutritional option for other critters.

Agreed Chip. I have pooped on the GT, but I left it where a thousand people aren't congregating, it was easily washed away/decomposed away, and I wiped with a rock and leaves, not shit paper. There's a right way and a wrong way to take a dump in the woods. This was the wrong way.

I agree with retro, if you have the forethought to bring tp, you gotta bring a bag too. The tp tips it for me. These people were thoughtless, to say the least.
