I got to do some of the more popular routes in the Valley this last fall, including Royal Arches. It was a blast, and of course quite different. Friction, jamming, pendulums, chimneys. Lots of fun. Rated 5.7,A1 or 5.9. I did it with a fever and still loved it. The scariest part is the walk down Washington's gully with darkness moving in fast and some pretty intricate route finding down incredibly loose, dangerous terrain.Thankful to have carried one of those little LED lights on the back of my harness or it would have been a long night on the rim in a t-shirt when it went below freezing. Depending on how little pro you need or your desire to simul-climb, you can do the 1500 feet of climb in a few hours but can otherwise easily take all day.
The Jamcrack, Bishops Terrace, Snake Dike, Commitment, Nutcracker, and a bunch I don't remember are awesome routes.
