the other question is just how you shot that pic of Dir.... are you just leaning back from the stance I never belay at? the camera looks somewhat lower than that.
Hey Ian, I used a 4 footer to lean back off the little ledge and was using a very wide angle lens.
cfrac and friend did the normal path. Rob was jokingly suggesting that cfrac should have done a more direct variation which goes straight up once you get around the corner, avoiding the ramp and the traverse and instead making some 5.10 moves up to the pins.
ahh.. my friend John did think that Directissima was the most ridiculous name for a route that has 2 traverses on it haha.

Yeah Jake, that's what I mean. A Diretissima should not traverse back and forth all over the place. Nevertheless, that climb done in boots is impressive, not matter which way you do it.
Cfrac is just avoiding the real goal of the season...aren't ya!
